TLDR: Books are done printing and will soon be shipped to us to package and sign. We are locking down orders on surveys that have been completed.

Hello, wonderful backers! Let me first apologize for the 2 weeks radio silence. Production of the books have been going wonderfully. Our printers have let us know that the 8000 copies of the cookbook are currently in the sewing stage now that the printing aspect is done. We have an estimated delivery timeline of receiving the books mid August (somewhere between 14th-18th).

Once we receive the books, we'll be signing, packaging, and begin shipping them out in waves to you! So excited to get this book into your hands!

Also, for those of you that have complete the survey, we've begun to lock down orders. You can still update your addresses if you need to at this time, but you won't be able to add more add-ons at this point.

Please note, that some of you may be receiving a "card declined" email, notifying that your card we have on file has been declined when BackerKit attempted to collected any add-ons or shipping updates. (If you've paid through PayPal, you're all good.) If you have any questions, please reach out to BackerKit or myself through Kickstarter, and I'll see what I can do for you!

There are still about 600 Backers who have yet to complete the shipping surveys. If you can't find it, need an email address updated, or just need us to resend it, please let me know and I'll get that fixed for you.

A quick trip to meet our printers in California

TLDR: The cookbook is coming along wonderfully. McKenzie and I have approved the final color and design and production will begin once the check clears.

Hello, wonderful backers!

Short and sweet update today. We have almost 90% of the surveys completed. If you have not yet received your survey yet or need assistance, please reach out and message me.

This past week, McKenzie and I flew out to California to visit our printing partner and approve colors and designs for the cookbook.

I apologize for the slightly blurry photos, but here are some looks into what some of the interior pages will look like as well as the cover!

These are obviously samples before proper production begins. (Don't worry, the cover won't be paper.) We were there to approve color, shading, and such.

Once production begins officially (sometime within this coming the week, once the check clears), we're estimating around 4-5 weeks of printing before the books are shipped to us and then we begin signing, and packaging, and finally delivering!

Over 5600 Surveys Completed Already!

Just a short update. Over 5600 of you have filled out your surveys! Thank you!

Again, I'm SO sorry if you were caught off guard by the surprise shipping charge. What we collected in the campaign was an estimate, and BackerKit calculates the difference to what shipping to your address will cost. In future campaigns if we go through Kickstarter, we'll wait to collect shipping at the very end during this period that way no one gets bamboozled with the extra small charge.

Surveys Have Started to Roll Out!

TLDR: Surveys will be rolling out in waves in the next few days! Keep an eye out on your inboxes!

Some movement has happened, my friends! The wire transfer took its grand old time getting to BackerKit, but it made it there in the end lol.

So here's how these surveys are gonna go down! Earlier today we sent out around 350 surveys to some backers in what is known as a "smoke test" to make sure the surveys are clear in its communication and to make sure everything works well in terms of collecting information, etc.

So far, things seem be going very well! So in the next few days or so we'll be rolling out surveys in waves to everyone! If you don't happen to see it within the next few days, message me and I'll look into it. I appreciate very much everyone's patience and understanding as we get these out. You all are the best!

In other news, our printing company is finalizing a proof copy of the book and will be sending it to McKenzie and myself to approve, and then after any changes, we're off to the races and the printing begins!

We've also begun the printing and production of the bookmarks and adventurer's cards!

If you are a digital only backer, we will be providing your digital rewards around the same time packages will be going out. Formatting an e-book is quite different from what I'm told than formatting a regular book. So that's in the works.

BackerKit Surveys Update!

Hello, wonderful backers! Bit of an update, so y'all aren't left in the dark. I've been waiting for the campaign funds to be transferred to my bank account so I can pay BackerKit for their services BEFORE they send out the survey. I was unaware that they required payment up front otherwise you would have already had the surveys in your email inboxes.

Kickstarter also starts the transferring of funds two weeks after a campaign ends, so that's sometime this weekend or within the next few days. Once I have the funds, I can pay BackerKit, and then you'll receive the surveys to confirm your addresses and orders! I didn't want to update unless there was something substantial to say, but with many of you understandably curious as to the whereabouts of the surveys, I felt it was needed to let y'all know what's happening on our end.

All this say, I'm crossing my fingers the surveys will be sent out to you before the end of the week. But it's possible it will be around mid next week. Don't want to overpromise, but that's literally my expectations at the moment.

Other news, the book formatting has been approved and we'll be sending it to the printers for a test print and then we begin the full order shortly after Kickstarter sends me the funds lol

We've been in a bit of waiting period ourselves these past two weeks, but I'll let you know when and if something comes up that's worth updating!

We really appreciate your patience and understanding in this! I'm learning so much to expect and plan for book 2!
