Brief December Update + Lucky Gryphon Candle Collaboration with Mythologie Candles!

Hello Dear Backers,

Happy Holiday season! I hope you all are doing well! We've loved seeing your pictures of recipes done, and seeing the love you have shown to the stories and the campaign overall! Forever grateful!

I've been notified that a couple of people were wanting an update on the campaign, so here it is! We've been sending out backer copies as soon as we get your completed surveys. If you haven't received your order, please please check your emails for one asking you to finalize your order from BackerKit.

There are still 146 backer who haven't completed their backerkit surveys. The surveys are being sent to the email addresses you've used to create your kickstarter account. And for anyone that may be confused, the surveys are simply used for you to confirm your shipping information and your order. You'll also be charged for shipping and handling if the cost to get the book to you is more than the estimate that was collected during the campaign. (It's normally around 3-5 dollars.)

If you're having any issues or aren't receiving those surveys, please email me at [email protected] and I'll help you sort out your order. The main issue we've been seeing is if you have used an Apple Private ID Relay Email address, you may be receiving these updates, but for some reason aren't able to receive the surveys. All I need is the actual email address you used, and I can update your information so you can get your survey.

The Lucky Gryphon

Mood: A roaring hearth warms a magical Tavern filled with patrons of every shape, color, and size. From towering orcs with missing limbs and slender rouges with missing manners, green-skinned goblins and red-eyed beasts, to winged creatures and sentient mice. The drinks are flowing from the metal taps into chalice and mug, pouring just as plentiful as the glinting coin that moves from pouch to hand. On stage across from the fire, a bard strikes a cozy chorus filling the room with jovial cheers. All the while the snow fae dancing through the air just outside the large paned window, covering the outside world with frost.

Smells Like: A warm mug of tavern cider swirling with the essence of toasty clove and the brightness of fresh citrus.

Minthie's Library

Mood: Coffee stained pages bookmarked with blackened feathers from torn Harpy wings. Silver Naiad scales and scraps of curses tucked behind battered spines. Fluttering book moths dancing through candlelight and swirls of steam rising from a chipped mug.

Smells like: Freshly brewed hot coffee teeming with crushed candied hazelnuts and molten caramel ribbons.

So if you'd like to bring in the atmosphere and magical scent of the Lucky Gryphon or Minthie's Library into your home, you now can for very limited time! This is a trial run to gauge interest, so fingers crossed we impress Mythologie enough for them to consider bringing it back as maybe a staple scent!

Wanted to hop on with a cool announcement but also a brief update.

For our backers who haven't yet received your orders, please check your emails and spam for your BackerKit surveys. We send out reminders every couple of days to the email addresses you used to sign up on Kickstarter. We need that survey completed so it confirms your shipping information and we'll be able to send out your order to you. If you have any trouble with finding your survey, please email me at [email protected] and I'll be happy to assist you.

Kickstarter Backers have been my personal priority, please let know if you're having any issues.

In some exciting news, Quincy and Minthie will be appearing as special guests in a new upcoming, cozy tavern game called Tavern Talk!

Tavern Talk is a 2D cozy visual novel in a high fantasy setting.

Catchy dialogues, drink mixing, and lot’s of PnP humor inspired by Coffee Talk, Monster Prom, and Dungeon & Dragons.

In the game, you take on the role as the Innkeeper of the Wayfarer's Inn.

Listen to your patrons, get to know them, and of course prepare them one of your special potions.

McKenzie and I are very excited to be a part of this story, and collaborating with the developers, Gentle Troll, has been a delight! Here is an early preview look at what Quincy and Minthie will look like in the game:

Hello friends! Thank you thank you! A million times thank you! We can finally say we're past the precipice of orders and deliveries, and can finally see the light. lol Your support and encouragement mean the absolute world to McKenzie and myself. Thank you for making this campaign more than amazing! Actually life life-changing.

As we move on, let me say first that we still have some backers who have NOT finished their surveys. If you have not received your order, PLEASE CHECK YOUR EMAILS. You should have an email from BackerKit for you to confirm your order and shipping address. If you do not have that or cannot find it, please let me know and I'll be happy to work with you and get you your survey. A majority of backers who have not confirmed are ebook backers, and you will find your ebook files in that survey once you complete it.

If you completed the survey already and have not yet received your ebook file, you should also still find it in your backerkit survey ready and waiting for you.

We know that many of have asked to buy ANOTHER copy of the cookbook as a gift for loved ones, Christmas, or even your DND party. McKenzie and I are working on getting the website setup for online orders that we'll be fulfilling ourselves. We obviously have only limited stock, and are planning on opening the website up for sales later this month.

If you'd rather not wait or just want a digital copy, we're excited to say that the ebook version of the cookbook is available on Amazon for Kindle Devices!  A Traveler's Guide to The Lucky Gryphon: Recipes & Regalings 

We wanted to wait as long as we could before moving on to letting the book be available to public, as we wanted to prioritize you backers over everything and get you the book first. Again, please let me know if you haven't received your copy yet by sending me an email to [email protected].

Please also note that for international/non US orders, the recipient is responsible for all customs and duties per your country or region. We'll do our best to help track down your order, but we're not able to pay those international taxes on your behalf. A good chunk of Canada orders are still on their way, possibly delayed by the holiday weekend. (Happy Belated Canadian Thanksgiving by the way!) So those of you still waiting should be getting your orders this coming week.

TLDR: Less than 100 packages to ship out. Thank you for your patience and support! Some international orders are taking a bit longer unfortunately, but my email inbox is open if you have any questions.

Hello my friends! I wish I could say we got ALL of the packages out before the end of September, but unfortunately I can't. We got REALLY close though. Currently, we have less than 100 packages of physical orders to ship out. These are, I believe, all international orders, and we're taking just a little bit more time to ensure as much as possible that these arrive to their destination as seamless as possible. Import taxes and duties are annoying for both shipper and recipient, and we're looking into helping this along.

There are some of you that haven't completed your surveys yet. If you haven't filled that out to confirm your order, please let me know if you are unable to find it in your inbox. It will be from BackerKit.

Just a Quick Update on Shipping

TLDR: We're waiting for more books to arrive later this week in order to continue shipping.

Hi friends! Just a short and sweet update as I've been receiving a lot more messages and inquiries than usual concerning your orders.

We're expecting another delivery of books this week. (By Friday according to the manufacturer.) To be honest, I'm hoping they keep their word this time. We were shorted by a good amount in our last delivery by about half of what I was originally expecting to receive. So we're also in a waiting game.

Just as a reminder, when your shipping label has been printed, you'll receive an email with tracking information. According to our numbers, we still have around 1900 deliveries to complete.

If we had more books to send out now, believe me, they'd be packaged and shipped. But for now, we wait for more pallets of books to arrive. I apologize for the waiting, but I truly appreciate your patience.
